About the Role

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in Educational Technology to join the School of e-Education. The university is globally recognized for its learner-centered approach and commitment to smart learning. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and service activities that advance the field of educational technology. This position requires presence on the Dubai campus during working hours and active participation in academic and professional development initiatives. The role involves designing and delivering graduate-level courses, developing innovative instructional materials, mentoring students, conducting high-quality research, and supporting program accreditation and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• check_circle Deliver engaging graduate courses using advanced online learning platforms and innovative technologies.
• check_circle Design and develop instructional materials and e-content tailored to educational technology programs.
• check_circle Mentor and advise students throughout their academic and professional development.
• check_circle Develop and facilitate professional short courses and workshops for targeted professional communities.
• check_circle Conduct and publish research in peer-reviewed journals and pursue funding opportunities in educational technology or related fields.
• check_circle Contribute to academic program development, accreditation processes, and university service activities.

Qualifications

• check_circle Ph.D. in Educational Technology from an accredited university where English is the language of instruction.
• check_circle Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the graduate level in an accredited university.
• check_circle Experience in online and e-learning environments with the ability to integrate technology effectively into instruction.
• check_circle Strong research record with publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.
• check_circle Ability to incorporate industry insights into curriculum design and classroom teaching.
• check_circle Proven experience in developing and delivering professional workshops and short courses.
• check_circle For Associate Professor rank: minimum of 5 years of academic experience and evidence of holding the same title or equivalent at the previous institution.
