About the Role

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University seeks a distinguished academic leader for the position of Associate Professor or Professor in Operational Management and Quality. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of the university’s Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quality Management program, which integrates innovative operational strategies with quality management principles. This role involves teaching, research, curriculum development, and PhD supervision, with a focus on fostering academic excellence and industry relevance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong record of scholarly achievement, experience in graduate-level instruction, and a commitment to mentoring doctoral students in operational and quality management disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• check_circle Deliver graduate-level courses in Quantitative Research Methods and Statistics, Service Quality and Excellence, Implementation and Applications of Quality Management, and Seminar in Quality Management.
• check_circle Develop and update curriculum content to reflect emerging trends such as AI-driven operations and advanced quality management practices.
• check_circle Conduct and publish high-quality research in Scopus or Web of Science-indexed journals and actively pursue research funding opportunities.
• check_circle Supervise PhD candidates through all stages of dissertation development, providing academic and methodological guidance.
• check_circle Contribute to program accreditation processes and foster partnerships with industry and academic networks to enhance program visibility and impact.

Qualifications

• check_circle PhD in Operational Management, Quality Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
• check_circle Proven experience teaching graduate-level courses in operational and quality management, with preference for experience in online or hybrid learning environments.
• check_circle Strong publication record in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals and demonstrated ability to secure research funding.
• check_circle Documented success in supervising doctoral dissertations in operational or quality management topics.
• check_circle For Associate Professor rank: Minimum of 5 years of post-PhD academic experience with evidence of teaching excellence, impactful research, and PhD mentorship.
• check_circle For Professor rank: Minimum of 10 years of academic experience with distinguished leadership in research, major grant achievements, editorial roles, and sustained doctoral supervision.
